24
hour cancellation:
The full
lesson fee will be charged for a lesson cancelled with less than 24
hours notice (Example: 2 PM lesson must be cancelled by 1 PM the
previous day)
There
are no refunds for missed or forfeited lessons
There
are no make-ups for missed or forfeited lessons One emergency last-minute cancellation per
six-month period will be recognized and the 24-hour cancellation rule
will be waved for that absence
Students who are noticeably ill will be
asked to leave and will forfeit the lesson fee (Cancel 24-hours
ahead if you are feeling ill)
In the rare instance the teacher must
cancel, a qualified substitute will be provided or the student will be
notified of lesson cancellation at the latest phone number on file
It is solely up to the student to update
their contact information when it changes
Payment
is due at the time services are rendered Cash,
Check or PayPal accepted (PayPal payments must be made at least one day
in advance) Make
checks payable to Patricia Shanks A 10%
late fee will be assessed for all late payments Lessons
and lesson fees are non-transferable
Students are expected to purchase required books and materials in a
timely manner
Students participating in contests, recitals, evaluations and
competitions are responsible for all program and contest entry fees
Students participating in contests, recitals, evaluations and
competitions are expected to secure their own piano accompanist or pay
accompanist fees
Students are expected to bring all books and materials to every lesson
Students are expected to bring a battery-operated personal recording device
to every lesson
Students are expected to practice daily
Students arriving late will have only their remaining lesson time
No day or time in the schedule belongs
exclusively to any student
Shoes
must be worn and no food or gum chewing is allowed
No perfume or cologne
Patricia Shanks reserves the right to discontinue lessons with any
student for any reason at her discretion |
